What the production memory is

Every tool a production passes through — the review platform, the shot tracker, the budgeting app, the payroll house, the edit suite, the QC engine, the delivery portal — holds one slice of the truth and forgets the rest. The production memory holds all of it in one place, attributed: who approved which version under which authority and how; where every derived document came from; the family of versions a title is delivered as and the industry identifiers each carries; the people and their deals; the money. It is not a replacement for any of those tools. It reads from them where they allow it, records decisions beside the tool's own record, and answers questions from any channel — chat, text message, phone — as permission-checked links that stop working the moment the person's access does. A production that spans several companies is one project with several members, never a copy: each company keeps its own data in its own database and grants the others exactly what it chooses to share.
